CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – November 30, 2020 – Elder Research is proud to have Ramon Perez join the Emergent Alliance Board of Directors. Emergent Alliance is a non-profit partnership established to share data and expertise to support COVID-19 research, build economic resilience and innovate for a better tomorrow. As the world emerges from the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Alliance brings together datasets from across industry that have not been accessible in the public domain. These datasets can better inform future economic decision-making by governments, businesses, and communities. By combining our private and public data sets, we aim to accelerate a smooth economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.
Emergent Alliance Mission: The Emergent Alliance is a not-for-profit community which exists to better inform the future economic decision making of corporations, small businesses and nation states. Drawing on a diverse collaboration of corporations, individuals, NGOs and Governments, the Alliance will contribute expertise, data, and resources to inform decision making on regional and global economic challenges to aid societal recovery post COVID-19.
Recover, Together, Stronger. The aim is to create a safe environment in which we share data, expertise and resources to work together to aid economic recovery in 2020 and shape a new normal. We want to have the ability to fuse together a broad set of economic, behavioral and sentiment data and provide new insights and practical applications to the global COVID-19 response.
Ramon Perez, Elder Research Director of UK Operations, stated that “We have been honored to provide our expertise in helping the UK Government navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, and we continue to believe strongly in the mission of the Emergent Alliance to use data in support of a smarter global recovery. The Alliance will publicize all data contributed to the project, freely share all platforms and tools among alliance members, and publish all outcomes and models developed as part of this initiative on our blog and GitHub.
