Dr. Sean Haler works on our Defense and Intelligence team where he looks to solve interesting and difficult problems from a wide variety of fields including language modeling, high performance computing, graph theory, and network analysis. Before joining Elder Research, Dr. Haler spent 10 years as a DoD civilian working as an applied research mathematician, most recently serving as the Deputy Director of a Cryptanalysis Development Program. Sean earned his doctorate degree in graph theory from the University of Idaho, where he also earned masters and bachelors degrees in math.
Sean volunteers his time teaching Mathematics and Computer Science at his daughter's school. When he is not working or teaching, Sean is usually trying to solve a puzzle or spending time with his adorable family.
