Director of Business Development
Albert Blackmon is passionate about data analytics. Whether it’s how to practice data management, implement a neural network, or create and grow your data science team, Albert delights in helping clients maximize the value from their data-based decisions. His primary focuses are Financial Risk Management, Fraud Detection, and Health Analytics.
Prior to Elder Research, Albert worked for a major analytics software company where he served state and local government clients in pension and asset management, child well-being, and tax fraud detection. These projects all implemented enterprise software, the majority on the cloud. From requirements gathering to the go-live moment, he served as an analytical consultant, technical architect, and account executive to ensure successful implementation. Albert holds BS degrees in mathematics and economics and a master’s in advanced analytics from North Carolina State University where he serves as the President of the Park Scholarships Alumni Society. Additionally, Albert serves on the Board of Directors of the Methodist Home for Children, a non-profit that finds a safe, stable, home for children. Albert loves spending time with his wife, Rachel, and son, Albie, and playing golf on any course in (almost) any weather condition.
