Elder Research,the nation’s leading data science and predictive analytics consulting company, is interested in cleared Software Engineers to join our Maryland analytics team in support of a security-focused customer in Linthicum, MD.TS/SCI Full Scope & U.S. Citizenship


  • Design, implement and deliver advanced software applications and solutions for predictive analytics, text mining, data visualization and business intelligence applications
  • Participate in every stage of the software development lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Lead an agile analytics-focused web development project
  • Support a data science analytics team with specialized software engineering needs


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related science/engineering field
  • Experience developing web applications including:
    • Front end coding in languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Server side coding in Java, JavaScript, and/or PHP frameworks
    • Understanding of client/server architecture and related design paradigms
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new software technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • TS/SCI security clearance with full-scope polygraph and U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with React, Node.js, Flux, Gulp.js, Semantic UI, JSON, Oracle
  • Experience with Java or similar programming languages
  • Experience with cleared team development in a secure corporate environment
  • Experience with distributed version control and project management tools
  • Experience developing, refining, and promoting software best practices and processes including architectural standards, code and API reusability, and shared content.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Familiarity with data mining, predictive analytics, big data, and statistical algorithms
  • Familiarity with Python, R/RStudio, Shiny, SPSS Modeler, SQL, and Oracle
  • A Master’s degree in a related discipline
